So, you guys are aware that i'm the owner of a Firebird Studio...

Which is also autographed by Kerry King, guitarist from Slayer. There are no marks on the guitar or dents, maybe the occasional very light scratch, the kind that you don't notice unless you hold the guitar against a light source at a very precise angle.

I've begun to realize that because I have my Gibson Les Paul Studio Vintage Mahogany, i have little to no need for another Gibson guitar with humbuckers without upgrading my amp first, from my current Marshall MG 15DFX to something more responsive, and i'm thinking about upgrading to a 2X12 combo tube amp, or maybe get a half-stack.

So my question is, how much do you think i could fetch for this guitar? Obviously the signature won't make it six figures or anything, but i figure it's worth a nice $50 bonus to tack on, or at least make it more convincing to buy if I price it in the upper threshold.

Check completed listings on Ebay and you'll find the going rate. I wouldn't count on getting any extra money for the autograph, in fact it may turn some buyers off. Good luck!

Good point. I'm definitely curious about Firebirds; but not at ALL interested in Kerry King. Now if it was Johnny Winter's autograph you might be on to something.

Man, I remember when you got that. You were so excited.

Now you're selling it?! Two years from now you're going to say "I once had a Kerry King autographed Firebird... Now I have some halfway decent half stack."

How about selling the LP and adding some money for a decent amp instead of selling the firebird?

Signatures add no value to guitars unless it was a very special occasion when it was signed. I learned that from watching Pawn Stars . If you sell it get rid of the signature.

Or unless someone who plays guitar REALLY loves the band... Or the person is dead...

I'd pay an extra 50 bones for an Alexi Laiho signature on my guitar...

I got Kerry to sign my Warlock, its the Bronze model and probably not worth much to anyone but me. Still, he was cool as hell, and its a cool memory for me and a nice piece to put on my wall.
