I agree with those guys - the signature only increases the value to someone who gives a sheet about Kerry King. Otherwise it's just a git'r. Nice one tho - Firebirds are nice...

You may or may not remember...

The LP got dropped on it's face by my younger brother a while back, and was broken where the headstock meets the neck. Also, i actually like the LP a lot more than the firebird. Was the first 'serious' guitar i ever owned, have wayy too many memories with that guitar to even THINK about selling it. No way. Me and that guitar are like rednecks and their guns; You can take it when you pry it from my cold, dead, fingers.

I, too, have a Gibson Firebird Studio. MAN!! I love that thing...

Mine is red, and has no autographs but DOES show a surprising (and cool) amount of wear- considering I bought it new a couple years ago. (I play the HELL out of it)
I love them, and would LOVE to gather another one or two (or more). So I frequently surf Ebay (I do NOT see many Firebirds in GC or other local stores, go figure) and I can give a pretty educated answer to this question;

The answer is- about a thousand bucks. OR- pretty much what you paid for it (I paid $900 in a store in San Mateo CA). I've watched the Gibson versions flutter around $800 to $1100, and even the EPI versions can sometimes hit around the $700s.
The down side is, the autograph only appeals to a niche group of players. And frankly, I really don't think any of that group plays a Firebird (well, maybe 4 of 'em...).
Now, if you DID have a Johnny Winter, or even Dave Grohl, signature on there, that might prove to be a different- in that both those guys are actually KNOW for having played on Firebirds (in fact, I think Grohl is the only 'big' name that's actually been seen playing the Studio).
So the autograph is moot. Maybe list it as having it (just in case) and offer to clean it off if the buyer so desires.

I don't have an 'extra' $900, or I'd buy it off you right now, but keep us posted...................

ps. Oh yeah, I second Scott;
