"Where are they now?"

I remember when I was young, there were always some really cool looking guitars that I would have loved to own, and now they've either been discontinued or they're just pretty rare.

I'd love to know what happened to the Kramer Voyager, Aria Pro II Urchin, and Aria Pro II ZZ.

The first time I saw an Aria Pro II Urchin was when I started taking guitar lessons. My teacher's son had a black one, that was total beat down, and then one day, he strolled in with a brand new one; it was black that "airbrushed" into a transparent "aqua-mist." It was the coolest guitar I had ever seen.

At the same guitar store where I took lessons, there wound up being an Aria Pro II ZZ (white with "blood" edition) and I thought it was awesome, but next to it sat one of my current guitars, my B.C. Rich Mockingbird. While I love my Mockingbird, it doesn't change the fact that I still would have loved to also own that ZZ.

I don't remember the first place I saw a Kramer Voyager, but man, that guitar is awesome looking. It wouldn't hurt my feelings to own one.

All of 'em cool to own when you're young and aspire to be in a thrash metal band.

I can't see Mark Knopfler GASsing over 'em!!

I'm just too old!!

A friend of mine has a son named Motley and one named Zepplin!
Guess who were his favorite bands?

Check Ebay regularly, Aria Pros usually goes for cheap.
Seeing that Kramer reminds of an Ibanez X series Destroyer I owned, with 3 humbuckers.

I used to have the Aria Pro ZZ-2. Not the best playing guitar but it didn't suck by any means. Sounded pretty beefy.

I've always loved the Michael Schenker sig V. Gibson or Dean, I don't care. I love them both. I don't know why, it's just something about them that have always made me want them.

Perhaps it's the voice of Michael Amott that runs around my head showing through.
Though now I think about it, I really like the Amott sig V too.

Yeah, I just like Vs, I guess.

Never been a big fan of the V, but those two are really nice.

I've always wanted to get my hands on a clear finish double neck SG I saw once. I've spoken to numerous techs, retailers, luthiers and musos as well as trawling the internet for pictures/info but none of them have ever heard of such a thing. I am now down to being just 80% sure I didn't dream it. Anyone come across one?

I've never heard of one, but I haven't been looking for one, either.

If you're that hard on getting one, maybe look into some of these companies like Warmoth who can do custom guitars. While it would never be a Gibson, it would be the next best thing.
