Acceptable use policy and user agreement. Please read carefully before joining Jam Session.

Jam Session is a public forum open to all ages. As such, there are rules of conduct that will be strictly enforced. As a member of this forum, you agree that you will abide by these rules. Users found in violation of the rules will be warned and/or banned, at the sole discretion of the moderator(s).

Personal responsibility:

1. Do not share you account or allow another person to post under your username. (Creating and safeguarding a secure password best accomplishes this.)

2. Be respectful of other users, regardless of race, religion, gender, age or political views. Personal attacks and racial slurs are strictly prohibited.

Unacceptable behavior/content:

1. Absolutely no pornographic images, files or links are allowed. Likewise, there shall be no graphic verbal description of pornography or sexual acts of any kind. These same rules also apply to violence and death.

2. Absolutely no offering of, or providing links to, pirated software (warez). Feel free to discuss about warez and its place in the Universe, just don’t offer it here in any form.

3. Swearing is not allowed. There are filters in place to replace the most commonly used swear words with asterisks (***). The filters are not all-inclusive, so something may slip by, but users that try to outsmart the filters with creative spelling and characters will find their posts edited and, eventually, the user will be banned.

4. Absolutely no spam! Violators will receive no warning. Spamming these boards will result in an immediate ban.

5. No solicitation of money from either the staff or the members.

Forum etiquette:

1. Please post in the appropriate forum. Please read all forum descriptions so you know where to post.

2. No thread hijacking or off-topic posts.

3. No trolls.

4. No flaming.

5. No multiple posts or posting the same message in multiple forums.

6. No shouting (Typing in all CAPS).

7. All disagreements with users or staff shall be handled in private.

Special circumstances:
Some (or all) of the boards may contain an addendum to these rules that must also be obeyed. Forum-specific rules will be listed as a “sticky” in said forum.

Signature policy:
You are allowed a total of 2 hyperlinks in your signature field. Acceptable link types are:

1. Personal homepage. (No corporate sites, contests or advertisement sites allowed.)

2. A site that contains samples of your songs, or entire songs, available for download or streaming at no charge. (example: SoundClick)

Links to your homepage can also be added in your profile. All links must comply with the acceptable use policy of this board.

No other links types are permitted in your signature. Moderators will delete all other links without notice.

As always, please be careful not to give out too much personal information here, or anywhere on the Internet. Protect yourself- protect your privacy!!

Bottom Line:
This is a moderated board, not a democracy. Anything deemed by the moderators to be in bad taste, hateful, or potentially offensive will be deleted. All rules of conduct will be strictly enforced at the sole discretion of the Jam Session staff. Staff members can be clearly identified by the following titles:
